Keep Up The Good Work

By Patrick Archbold

I hope we see many more reports like this one out of Vermont.
High turnout at Latin Mass

BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Last week about 1,000 Catholics from Vermont, New York and Massachusetts attended the state's first Latin Mass in 30 years.

And officials say the overwhelming turnout means the Roman Catholic Diocese of Vermont likely will offer more Latin services.

Catholics are waiting for the church to give us back our Mass. We're not protestants and shouldn't be forced to chose between attending protestant services (call a spade a spade) in Catholic churches, or not attending at all. A US Cardinal admitted in an online article recently that while serving as a Bishop here in the States, several times he dressed & disguised himself as a layperson, sneaked in and participated in various protestant services, taking notes and included elements of their services in his diocese. So it should be no surprise that the Mass has degenerated into something more like a concert or some kind of entertainment/social hour, with irreverent singing and swaying. Such is the state of many of our Catholic shepherds/pastors here in the US. One can only hope the Pope's inspired guidance can restore & return our ancient, Sacred Mass to the faithful.
