Bring in traditionalists to save dying parishes, urges bishop
A leading traditionalist bishop has urged the bishops of England and Wales to invite traditionalist groups to take over failing parishes instead of closing down churches.

Area priests see little demand for Latin Mass
Several Roman Catholic priests in Southwest Virginia are thankful demand for the old-style Latin Mass hasn't emerged here because they are already stretched thin trying to serve rural parishes.

I live in the notorious Diocese of Richmond. The "Office of Worship" isn't getting many calls, huh? Could that be because the diocesan newsrag has been publishing editorials with the theme "Don't Even Think About It." Plus the state of the clergy in the Diocese of Richmond is so utterly wretched, most people with any modicum of prudence wouldn't bother...because the Richmond clergy would probably profane the Extraordinary Form.

I live in Roanoke and have heard none of the Priests mention Summorum Pontificum. The only thing that has been said, officially, in the Diocese of Richmond has been in The Catholic Virginian and, I felt, that was very negative. I agree with Msgr.Lehman that the Extraordinary form of the Mass could be offered regionally, for instance, in Roanoke. If the Bishop were supportive, he could invite the Society of St. Peter to assist and not "tax" our current Priests. People cannot respond, in an informed way, to that about which they do not know. May God's will be done!
