Are there really any coincidences when it comes to SSPX intrigue?

By Brian Kopp

The recent controversial interview with SSPX Bishop Williamson was supposedly recorded on November 1, 2008.

The first rumor of the decree lifting the excommunications was posted on RorateCaeli on November 3, 2008, based on a Spanish language blog post dated November 2, 2008.

It is inconceivable that Bp. Williamson was not aware of the impending move on the part of Rome to lift the excommunications when he granted this interview.

This has been exactly my point on several blogs. It looks to me like an act of sabotage against the Rosary Crusade. Why can't he just keep his big mouth shut about the Holocaust, especially at this particular time? He knows that the Pope has his heart set on a visit to Palestine this year. And he knows that the Holy Father cannot go there if the illegal occupier there does not admit him.

Well, I think that the lifting of the excommunicatinos is now immiment. But Williamson is trying to make sure that no regularisation will follow. He is 69 years old and in good health. He'll do his bes to sabotage the efforts of Bishop Fellay and the Pope.

Let's just pray the His Holiness grants his universal jurisdiction for Society Sacraments provisionally, pending a full regularisation. That would do a world of good.
