Obedience opens door to freedom.
...
Pope Benedict clearly is wise; obedience according to the mind of Christ always opens the door to true freedom. I am joyful to act in obedience to the Motu Proprio of Pope Benedict, and I am grateful to have been freed from the limitation of my own judgement.

There is a lesson in contrasts below. Which response is the most pastoral?
“I do urge those who are attracted to worship according to the Missal of Blessed Pope John XXIII to express yourselves to me and to your pastors in the days ahead so that we can do our very best to serve you in a reasonable amount of time as we make the necessary preparations.”
His Excellency Robert C. Morlino of Madison WI.
“Priests everywhere are being stretched too thin as it is. Some have two or more parishes in which they minister. It is unfair to expect them to add an extra Mass to their already busy schedules. People might want to think twice about approaching their priest and putting this demand on him.”
Mr. Steve Neill, editor, “The Catholic Virginian” Diocese of Richmond, VA.
Don't we pray for the conversion of the Jews on Good Friday in the NO (usual, ordinary, Paul VI) rite? I seem to remember doing so.
Bishop Morlino's letter was very moving.
Supporters of the traditional liturgy have been "fans" of certain bishops and "critical of" other bishops for how they have handled requests for Indult Masses in the past. Bishop Morlino is someone who has changed his stance, and apparently even changed his heart, in response to Summorum Pontificum. I earnestly hope that those of us who love the traditional Mass will give thanks to Bishop Morlino, and thank God for him.
I appreciate His excellency Bishop Morlino's apparent change of heart. I would also like to point out that the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest has several apostolate's both north and and south of the Madison diocese that have very well trained Priests in the Trinidine Mass. The Institute has also just recently opened their doors to train other Priests in the Trinidine Mass.
